こんにちは。ずっと前に観たきりで、久しぶりに観ました。ファーストカットでランニングしているクラリス（ジョディ・フォスター）が
汗が染みた服で登場します。劇中何度も男の視線と、それに対峙するクラリスという構図が出てきますが、このファーストカットからクラリスの異性に対する性的な印象を示唆しています。僕は監督のジョナサン・デミの作品を初めて観たので、他にどういう作品を作っているか分かりませんが、この映画では寄りの映像が多く、あまり映画的なショットは無いのですが、それに余りあるハンニバル・レクター（アンソニー・ホプキンス）の怪演があります。黒沢清の「cure」（1997）は本作の影響を公言していますが、ラストの街に放たれるレクターというその後の展開を匂わせる終わり方も似ています。
