こんにちは。今日はお祖母ちゃんから僕の家系について色々と話を聞きました。僕の母方の家には7代までの祟りという言い伝えがあります。僕の祖母の親の7代前と言っていましたから、およそ今から350年位前日本は寛延、宝暦年間（1748〜1764）にあたる位の話になります。僕の先祖は村ではかなり有力な大地主だったようで、広い土地を使い旅人や行商人を泊めていました。雪が降り積もるある日、そこは正確には分かりませんがある人を泊めた時にこれも正確には分かりませんがその人が大切な何かを落としたらしいのです。その人は必死で探したのですが、遂に見つからず自責の念から自殺しました。ですが実は僕の先祖はふとした出来心だったのか、それを見つけていたのに白を切っていたのです。これは推測ですがその人は幕府からの書状か宝物を密かに運んでいた飛脚で、その公に出来ないものを無くしてしまったその人は結果的にその泊まった部屋で首を縊りました。そしてその祟りが僕の祖母まで続いているのです。ここまでならただのお伽噺ですが、実際僕の祖母の兄妹は9人居ましたが、男の兄弟は全員死んでいます。祖母は今84歳で兄妹達もかなりの齢なのですが、男兄弟は若くして亡くなっていたり、またその呪いが男だけを狙う所が根絶やしっぽい感じがして不気味です。最近実話怪談とかを良く聞いていてその聞き取りの面白さというか、一次資料の凄さというか、祖母が語る言葉の細かいディテールが本当にそれが口伝として伝わってきたのだな、という実感がありました。もう一つ聞いた話がこれを書くと場所がバレますが、お春の墓という伝説があります。これは享和年間（1801〜1804）に実際にあったことだという記述が「仁淀村史」にあって、お春という村で評判の器量の良い女性が隣村の男と駆け落ちするために、夫を斧で襲ったのですが、失敗し裁判にかけられて死刑になる話です。その死刑の時に広い河原に村中の人間が集まり高台の上で首を斬られる描写があって、見せしめ的な意味合いもあったのだろうと思いますが、少し村の閉鎖感というか狭いコミュニティーの狂気を感じます。このお春の墓、実は現在もまだあるのですが、墓には曰くがあり元々あった場所から年々墓が動いているらしいのです。この土地でそんな地滑りが起こることがかなり珍しいらしく、地質学者が北海道から来たこともあったようです。繰り返しますが、人から聞いた話の面白さはインターネットの広大な海にも無い原石を探す感覚に近いです。お春の墓の情報も今検索しても出てきませんから、まだまだ猿真似ですが、こういう蒐集を続けていきたいです。

In the "History of Niyodo Village", there is a description that this actually happened during the Kyowa era (1801-1804). She attacked her husband with an axe, but failed and was put on trial and sentenced to death.At the time of the death penalty, there was a depiction of the people of the village gathering on a wide riverbed and being decapitated on a hill. I feel insane. This spring grave is actually still there today, but there is a story about the grave, and it seems that the grave is moving from its original location every year. 平田弘史の「薩摩義士伝」（1982）をamazonで頼んで来ました。まだパラパラと読んだ程度ですが、やはり絵が上手いです。平田弘史ってあまり知られていない気がしますが、ひょっとすると日本で一番絵が上手い漫画家かもしれません。描き込んでいるところと、そうでないところを大胆に筆致で描き分けているのが格好良いです。そして人物の立体感たるや本当にそこに居るかの如き物量感、話のテンションが上がるにつれて人物の輪郭線も太さを増していきます。大友克洋の映画「AKIRA」（1988）のタイトルを書いているらしく、所々手描きの台詞があります。杉浦日向子は江戸時代と現在を往来している作家だと言われていましたが、平田弘史もまたその時代のその場所に居て、話を聞いて帰ってきたようなリアリティを持っています。原作が無いのも凄いです。楳図かずおの「漂流教室」（1972）もamazonで頼んで来ました。楳図かずおは避けていた訳では無いのですが、読んでいなかったので代表的な「漂流教室」から読んでみました。全3巻あって、まだ1巻の途中ですが話の展開が面白いです。そして楳図かずおも絵が上手いです。今週は今冬最大の寒波が来るらしく、またこの間のような豪雪になりそうです。
I ordered Hiroshi Hirata's "Satsuma Gishiden" (1982) on Amazon. I've only skimmed through it, but the drawings are still good. I don't think Hiroshi Hirata is well known, but he might be the best manga artist in Japan. It's cool how he boldly distinguishes between what he's drawing and what he's not.And the three-dimensional effect of the characters makes you feel as if they are really there. It seems that he wrote the title of Katsuhiro Otomo's movie "AKIRA" (1988), and there are hand-drawn lines here and there. Hinako Sugiura was said to be a writer who traveled back and forth between the Edo period and the present, but Hiroshi Hirata also has the reality of being in that place in that era, listening to stories and coming back.It is amazing that there is no original. I also ordered Kazuo Umezu's "Drifting Classroom" (1972) from Amazon. It's not that I avoided Kazuo Umezu, but she hadn't read it, so I read her from the typical "Drifting Classroom". There are three volumes in total, and although it is still in the middle of the first volume, the development of the story is interesting. And Kazuo Umezu is good at drawing. It seems that the biggest cold wave this winter is coming this week, and it looks like it's going to be a heavy snow like the other day.
