こんにちは。メルカリでゲットしました。今や絶版になっている本書はかなり稀少価値が高いようです。ですが絶版、という言葉は最早死語なのかもしれません。実際僕はこうして手に入れられた訳で、それは嬉しいことなのですが、恐らく稀書コレクターには退屈な世の中になってしまったのではないでしょうか。まだ一巻しか読んでいませんが思うところを書いておきます。まず一枚絵が恐ろしく美麗です。ですが一枚絵が上手い=画力が高いという訳ではなくて、正直にいえば画力は普通くらいの漫画なのですが、多分資料を見て描いたと思われる模写は抜群に上手いです。またこれは確実に意識していると思いますが、これは映画を漫画に変換している漫画です。意識的に漫画的な表現が排除されています。例えば漫画の一番オーソドックスな表現である顔の汗の表現は、焦りとか運動とか困惑とか不安など何でも使える万能なアイテムなのですが、それを使っていません。これは作者が脳内で映画を撮っているからだと思います。というかそもそも何故僕がこの内田善美を知ったのか、という経緯はある画像サイトで見たこの「星の時計Liddell」（1985）の一コマからこの人はもしかしたら映画を漫画に変換しているかも知れない、と思ったからでした。しかし漫画的な表現を一切使っていないのか、といえばそうでもなくて、ページの隅にうんちくが書いてあったりページの端に思い切りデフォルメした登場人物たちの茶番があったり、あぁこの人は本当に漫画愛があるんだなという感じを受けます。そして紛れもなく少女漫画でもあります。大島弓子に似ている、と思いますが大島弓子の哲学性はより深く物語の奥に昇華されているのに対し、内田善美の哲学性は登場人物が直接台詞で話していて、これはヌーヴェル・ヴァーグでよく見るような登場人物たちの無意味な、無意味ではありませんがそういう会話に似ています。つまり悪く言えば分かりやすい、取っ付きやすい哲学性があります。

I think this is because the author is filming the movie in his brain.Or rather, how I came to know about Yoshimi Uchida in the first place is because of this scene from Hoshi no Tokei Liddell (1985) that I saw on an image site. I thought it might be possible.However, it's not like he doesn't use any manga-like expressions at all. I get the feeling that he has a love for manga. And it's definitely a shoujo manga.I think it's similar to Yumiko Oshima, but Yumiko Oshima's philosophy is sublimated deeper into the story, while Yoshimi Uchida's philosophy is directly spoken by the characters, and this is Nouvelle. It's kind of like the kind of nonsensical, if not nonsensical, dialogue between characters you see in Vague. In other words, there is a philosophical nature that is easy to understand and approachable.

二巻を読みました。回を追うごとに筆が乗っています。一巻を読んで画力はそんなに無いと書きましたが訂正します。顔の描き方が明らかに劇画調の線が入ったものに変わり、作品世界の奥行きが生まれています。トーンワークが凄いです。夢の中の少女の世界と漫画内の現実世界について、これはもしかして第四の壁のような話になるのかと期待しています。これは本当に難解な映画を漫画に直したような作品だと思います。
I read the second volume. The brush is on every time I chase the times. I read the first volume and wrote that I don't have that much drawing power, but I will correct it. The way the face is drawn has clearly changed to something with graphic lines, creating depth in the world of the work. The tone work is amazing. I'm hoping that this will be a fourth wall story about the world of girls in dreams and the real world in manga. I think this is a work that is like a manga that has been converted from a really difficult movie.

三巻を読みました。絵柄は二巻が一番好きでした。この漫画を本当に理解した人間はどれくらいいたのでしょうか。正直僕は話はちんぷんかんぷんでした。それはつまり少女漫画だからです。ポエミーな台詞や内語の氾濫のような漫画で、残念ながら僕はそういうものにあまり乗り気にはなれません。しかし同時にこういう感性も存在することも理解出来ます。またこの漫画が描かれた1980年代という時代も面白く、ニューウェーブという新しい漫画表現を模索した作品が生まれる一方で、こんな局地的な天才も居たという懐が広い時代ですね。それとこの漫画は夢という言葉を上手く使っているなと思います。僕も夢という言葉が好きで、それは将来のことでもあり、自分が寝ている時に見るものでもあってとても両義的な言葉です。それは未来と過去とも取れますし、生と死とも取れます。つまりとても使い勝手の良い言葉で、夢と登場人物が発語した時にどちらの意味にも取れて物語に幅が生まれることがあります。まあ単純に僕が夢という言葉が好きなだけかも知れませんが、夢は希望に満ちた使い方だけではない、もっと謎めいた深い言葉だということです。
