こんにちは。YouTubeで観ました。石井岳龍（聰互）は黒沢清が所属していたディレクターズカンパニーに同じく居た一人です。変な映画でしたが、面白い映画でした。黒沢清の「CURE」（1997）は様々な映画からの影響が言及されていますが、この「エンジェル・ダスト」（1994）も間違い無く影響を与えていると思います。それくらい映像で使われているモチーフが被っていました。石井岳龍の映画はこれが初めてだったのですが、恐怖演出が上手いです。ジョン・カーペンターを思わせる無言で佇む人々を遠景で捉えたショット。不気味な写真、フラッシュバック的な或いはサブリミナル的な鮮烈な映像。逆洗脳というこれは本当にあるものなのか、今調べてみるとかなり眉唾ものっぽい気がしますが、これを演じる若松武史の心に入り込んでくるような声や、ビデオ映像の粒子の荒さを逆手に取ったような、それこそ後にJホラーの先駆けと呼ばれた「リング」（1998）よりも先にビデオ映像を効果的に物語に取り込んでいます。それとこの映画を観ていて感じたのは20世紀末の頽廃した都市の他者への不安、を感じました。
