こんにちは。ジョン・カーペンターの「ハロウィン」（1978）の続編であるデヴィッド・ゴードン・グリーンの「ハロウィン」（2018）を観ました。ジョン・カーペンターの映画の特徴として、何というかハロウィンで皆が怪物に仮装している時に、その中に本物の怪物が紛れていたら面白いかも、みたいな幼い男の子の発想に近い面白さがあります。「要塞警察」（1976）とか「ゼイリブ」（1988）とかも男の子が好きそうな男臭い世界です。そして登場人物が容赦無く殺されるのも特徴の一つです。「ハロウィン」（2018）の冒頭から登場する二人の記者は、中盤呆気なく殺されます。こんな感じの映画は昨今あまり無いので新鮮でした。ついでに書いておくと、この映画のラストシーンは生き残った女系家族3人が殺人鬼であるマイケルを葬るのですが、これはクエンティン・タランティーノの「デス・プルーフ inグラインドハウス」（2007）のラストと酷似しています。見事に女系の娘、母親、祖母の3人が一人の男を殺すのも示唆的というか、そういう意味でも面白かったです。「遊星からの物体X」（1982）はクリーチャー映画として殆ど完璧な映画だと思います。この映画の原作はジョン・ウッド・キャンベルの「影が行く」（1938）ですが、これは調べてみると同じことを言っている方も居たのですが、ハワード・フィリップス・ラヴクラフトの「狂気の山脈にて」（1931）に話の構成が似ています。僕が好きなのはブレア（ウィルフォード・ブリムリー）のキャラクターです。場面の終わりのシーンを持っていく彼の演技は面白いです。
Hello. I saw David Gordon Green's "Halloween" (2018), the sequel to John Carpenter's "Halloween" (1978). One of the characteristics of John Carpenter's movies is that it is similar to the idea of a young boy, such as when everyone is dressed up as a monster on Halloween, and it might be interesting if a real monster is mixed in."Fortress Police" (1976) and "They Live" (1988) are masculine worlds that boys seem to like. And one of the features is that the characters are killed without mercy. The two reporters who appear at the beginning of "Halloween" (2018) are killed in the middle stage. There aren't many movies like this these days, so it was fresh. Incidentally, in the last scene of this movie, the three surviving matrilineal families bury the murderer Michael. Very similar. It was also interesting in that sense that it was suggestive that three people, a daughter, a mother, and a grandmother, who were in the female line, killed one man.I think "THE THING" (1982) is almost perfect as a creature movie.The original of this movie is John Wood Campbell's "Shadow Goes" (1938), but when I looked it up, some people said the same thing, but Howard Phillips Lovecraft's " At the Mountains of Madness" (1931), the structure of the story is similar. My favorite character is Blair (Wilford Brimley). His performance in bringing the scene to the end of the scene is interesting.
