こんにちは。ジャケット借りしました。ドュニ・ヴィルヌーブの名前を何処かで聞いたことがあって、調べてみると「メッセージ」（2016）の監督だったのですね。今回はインターネットで他人の感想を読まずに書きます。というのもどう考えてもおかしなラストシーンだったので、僕なりに考えてみました。まず映像が全体的に黄色味がかった映像です。そして映されている街や部屋などに少し違和感があるような、まるで本当は存在していないかのような撮り方をしています。この辺りの撮影が、ソフィア・コッポラの「SOMEWHERE」（2010）とかロマン・ポランスキーの「ゴーストライター」（2010）に似ています。そして同じ顔の人間で思い出すのはアルフレッド・ヒッチコックの「めまい」（1958）です。そもそも何故この映画をジャケット借りしたのかというと、タイトルの「複製された男」（2013）という言葉と背表紙の説明文にあった同じ顔という言葉からピーン、と来たからです。これはもしかして映画のことについて描いた映画なのでは、と思いました。複製されたとはつまり映画の媒体の特性で撮影された男はフィルムによって何度も映写され、またDVDなどによってもまた何度も複製されていくからです。映画の序盤教師である主人公の男は恋人との関係が惰性になりつつあり、その時友人から映画を薦められてそこから物語は動き出します。売れない俳優である主人公と瓜二つの男はこれは最後まで観てから気付きましたが、一番始めの車のカットで母親からの電話を受けています。この映画のラストシーンは教師である主人公の男は俳優である男に脅迫されて恋人を取り換えて、そこで俳優の男と教師の男の恋人は事故で死亡して、その次の日の朝にややこしいですが、教師の男と俳優の男の妻から母親から電話があったから掛けてあげて、と言われたところで終わります。つまりラストカットとファーストカットは対応していて、また終盤にホテルマンからまたあの部屋に行かせて下さい、みたいな会話がありこれも序盤にあった謎の儀式を指していると思われます。これらからこれは所謂クリストファー・ノーランの「メメント」（2000）のような編集で時系列を混乱させているようなタイプの映画ではないか、と推察しています。そしてこの映画で一番重要なモチーフは蜘蛛です。蜘蛛の習性とかを調べてみましたが、いまいちわかりません。今思っているのはあのエンディングで映された嘘のような街並みからこの映画の世界はそもそも蜘蛛の世界だったのではないか、というくらいです。

The unsuccessful actor who looks exactly like the main character receives a phone call from his mother in the very first cut of the car, although I noticed this after watching it until the end.In the last scene of the film, the main character, a teacher, is threatened by an actor and exchanges his girlfriends. It's a bit confusing, but the story ends when the wife of the teacher and the actor asks her mother to call her.In other words, the last cut and the first cut correspond to each other, and at the end of the story, there is a conversation from the hotel staff saying, "Please let me go to that room again." From these, I surmise that this is a type of movie that is edited like Christopher Nolan's "Memento" (2000) to confuse the chronology. And the most important motif in this movie is the spider.I've tried researching the habits of spiders, but I still don't understand. What I'm thinking now is that the world of this movie was originally a world of spiders, based on the false townscape shown in the ending.

蜘蛛のモチーフで気になったのは、交通事故の場面です。横転した車にカメラがズームアップしていくのですが、その時のフロントガラスのひび割れが蜘蛛の巣のように見えます。このことから全ての運命は蜘蛛が操っている、とも思えます。何故主人公は教師で授業で支配について歴史は繰り返す、みたいなことを言わなければいけないのか、また何故もう一人の男が売れない役者でなければいけないのか、を考えていくと何かヒントがありそうです。劇中の映画「道は開かれる」というタイトルが何か聖書の引用かなと思い調べてみると、所謂モーセの十戒というもので、モーセが奴隷のような扱いを受けていたユダヤ人を率いてエジプトから脱出するときに、海を開いた話が出てきました。あともしあのラストを額面通りに受け取るならば、この話は異類婚姻譚です。そうだとするとあの妻のそれまでの行動がよく分かりません。

And if that last is taken at face value, this story is a heterogeneous marriage tale. If that's the case, I don't really understand his wife's behavior until then.
