こんにちは。監督のニルス・タヴェルニエはクロード・シャブロルの「主婦マリーがしたこと」（1988）に出演しています。全く個人的なことですが、この映画は暫定的に僕が最後に映画館で観た映画になっています。そしてその時も思ったのですが、これを映画館で観れたことはとても幸せな映画体験でした。確か2020年くらいに観て、その時は今ほど映画を観てなかったのですが、感覚的に凄い映画だなと感じていました。それもあって昨日amazonプライムビデオで観直しました。シュヴァルの理想宮、というのはフランスに実在するものらしいです。驚いたのは主人公のジョセフ・シュヴァル（ジャック・ガンブラン）の最初の妻の登場シーンはワンカットのみで、いきなり場面が葬式のシーンに繋がります。劇中でシュヴァルの後妻にあたるフィロメーヌ・シュヴァル（レティシア・カスタ）がシュヴァルが歩いてるときに何を考えているか聞いて、夢を見ていると答えるシーンがあります。ここは大事なシークエンスなので詳しく書きますが、その後フィロメーヌはシュヴァルの傷を手当てして、シュヴァルは小川の流れに導かれて雨宿りをするためなのか木陰に座り込みます。シュヴァルが遠くを見つめるショットから村の遠景のショットがあってそこにウェディング・ベルが鳴ります。それはまるでそこから夢の世界に入るようです。この映画のもうひとつの優れているところは19世紀末のフランスの素朴な村が描かれているところです。石造りの町やファッションなども本当に印象派の絵画の世界から抜け出したような、まあ映画なのでそういうロケ地が現在まで残っているということですが、それが美しいです。
hello. Director Nils Tavernier starred in Claude Chabrol's What Marie the Housewife Did (1988). On a purely personal note, this movie is tentatively the last movie I saw in a theater. And at that time, I thought, but being able to see this in a movie theater was a very happy movie experience. Cheval's ideal palace seems to exist in France. What surprised me was that the main character, Joseph Cheval (Jacques Gamblin), had only one scene in which his first wife appeared, and the scene suddenly led to the funeral scene.In the play, Cheval's second wife, Philomene Cheval (Laetitia Casta), asks Cheval what he is thinking while walking, and there is a scene where Cheval replies that he is dreaming. This is an important sequence, so I will write it in detail, but after that, Philomene treats Cheval's wounds, and Cheval sits in the shade of a tree, probably to take shelter from the rain, guided by the flow of the stream.From the shot of Cheval looking into the distance to the shot of the village in the distance, the wedding bells ring. It's like entering a dream world from there. Another great thing about this movie is that it depicts a rustic village in France at the end of the 19th century. The town made of stone and the fashion really seem to have escaped from the world of Impressionist paintings.
今全て観終わりました。通して観てみると割と凡庸な感動演出である回想シーンや、人間の死が物語のアイテムとして使われ過ぎている感が否めない感じがあって、それは今観ると少し引っ掛かりますが、何よりも不器用な主人公シュヴァルが魅力的に描かれていてます。それは無骨で職人のような日本だと前時代の父親像に似ています。
I've watched it all now. If you watch it through, you can't deny the feeling that the flashback scene is a relatively mediocre moving production, and the overuse of human death as an item in the story. The clumsy main character Cheval is drawn attractively. It is rugged and craftsman-like in Japan and resembles the image of fathers in the previous era.
