こんにちは。久々に観返しました。そして単純にとても面白かったです。原点にして頂点、という感じです。映画好きの今敏なので、古今東西のサイコスリラーの映画の面白いエッセンスだけを一緒くたにしたような映画でした。そしてサイコスリラーとしての完成度が異様に高い。登場人物の行動原理が明確で分かりやすく、伏線も必要最低限かつ最適な場所にあります。バイオレンスな描写もスパイスとして所々に効いていて、クライマックスの怒涛のアクションが引き立ちます。主人公の感情が溢れる水槽の魚のシーンのリアリティは何度見ても圧巻です。そしてその水槽の魚がまた終盤に上手く機能しています。以前抱いていた印象では、もっと序盤から夢と現実が入り混じっていたような気がしていましたが、今回観直してみて、物語のある地点から夢と現実が交錯しだすことに気付きました。それは劇中の連続ドラマ「ダブルバインド」の中で、幻想が実体化することはあり得ない、という台詞が出てくる所からです。この辺りから主人公がいよいよ前後不覚に陥り、また今敏特有のマッチカットによる演出が炸裂します。このマッチカットの演出は映画における展開の仕方で話の繋がりが多少強引なりとも、絵の連続による説得力で何故か納得してしまう不思議な技法です。そして主人公の感情を丁寧に追うだけで映画は成立することを改めて思いました。劇中劇の設定は劇中の台詞に多層的な意味を持たせることが出来るようです。何度も言いますがとにかく構成が綺麗で面白い。こんなに面白いとは思っていませんでした。

No matter how many times I watch it, the realism of the fish tank scene, which is filled with the main character's emotions, is overwhelming. And the fish in the tank are working well again at the end. In the past, I had the impression that dreams and reality were more intermingled from the beginning, but when I rewatched it this time, I realized that dreams and reality began to intersect from a certain point in the story. That's because in the serial drama "Double Bind" in the play, there is a line that states that illusions cannot materialize. From around this point, the main character finally loses consciousness, and Satoshi Kon's peculiar match cut production explodes. This match-cut staging is a mysterious technique that, even if the connection of the story is a little forced due to the way the movie unfolds, the persuasive power of the series of pictures makes it somehow convincing.And I once again thought that a movie can be made just by carefully following the emotions of the main character. The setting of the play within the play seems to be able to give the dialogue in the play a multi-layered meaning. As I said many times, the composition is beautiful and interesting. I didn't expect it to be this much fun.
