こんにちは。クリント・イーストウッド作品を何本か観てきて、画面にある種の冷たさがあることに気付きました。黒沢清が「ヒア・アフター」（2010）のインタビューでクリント・イーストウッドについて語っているものがインターネットにありますが、それで監督としては非常に奇妙な話を好む、みたいなことを言っていて、僕が観た何本かもそういう奇妙な話だったので確かにそうだと思います。この映画の始まり方はとても不穏で、車に乗せられた後の前の男の演技とかも凄く気味が悪かったです。他の方の感想で、ラストのジミー（ショーン・ペン）の妻の台詞がアメリカにおける個人主義を皮肉っている、みたいな感想がありました。この映画を観ていて、改めて演技における巧さというものを考えました。ショーン・ペンの演技は確かに巧いのですが、現実に例えばもし自分がその立場だったらそういう風に振る舞ったり、喋ったりするかどうか考えてみると、多分しないだろう、と思います。だからこそ黒沢清的な映画の演技の方に惹かれるし、そっちの方がリアリティを感じます。これは完全に個人的な意見ですし、実際家族を殺されたこともないので分かりませんが、そんな気がしました。勿論クリント・イーストウッドも役者にあまり演技させない部類の監督なのですが、やはり重要なシーンでは演技が必要なのでしょうか。
