こんにちは。最近は専ら黒沢清が良いと言っている映画ばかり観ています。中でもサム・ペキンパーは黒沢清が特別好きらしく、評価も高いです。僕もかなり前に一度観たのですが、また観返しました。黒沢清も言っている通り、緩急が激しい映画です。まず冒頭が長いです。映画で冒頭はつかみ、と言われている程重要で大抵は冒頭は関係ないシーンから始まったり、派手なアクションがあったりするものですが、この映画はその冒頭が緩慢です。普通の映画なら主人公は後半分かりますが、結構切れ者ですから、その頭の良さを少し匂わせたりするのですが。この辺はまだ僕もサム・ペキンパーの映画をあまり観ていないので何とも言えませんが、かなり不思議な演出も沢山ありました。ドク・マッコイ（スティーブ・マックイーン）が見る恐らく彼の想像（未来）の世界が、現実の時間軸と交錯し、まるで未来を予見しているかのような演出や、音楽も前衛音楽のような訳の分からない音楽がかかったりして、こちらが当惑するような演出がありました。ただしアクションシーンはそのフリが効いていて滅茶苦茶格好良いです。もしかしたらそういう意図かもしれませんね。物凄いフリをするからこそオチは面白くなる訳ですから。

この映画は1972年に公開されています。ルディ（アル・レッティエリ）のパートの話もそれだけで独立してひとつの映画になるくらいの面白さがあります。ルディはあれだけ引っ張っておいて最後はあっさり負けるところも面白いです。この辺の妙なリアリティというか、逃げる時もスマートに逃げるのではなく、一度乗ろうとして転けたりするシーンとかも何か良いです。暴力的なシーンは流石ブラッディ・サムと呼ばれるだけあり、どのシーンも唐突に始まって見応えがあります。初めの暴力的なシーンで車の中で股間を撃ち、車から投げ出すシーンは衝撃でした。本当に撃たれているわけは無いのですが、本当に弾が身体に入って血が出ているような演技や、心理戦とそれをかい潜るドクの格好良さが際立つ映画でした。妻のキャロル（アリ・マッグロー）だけは普通の女性でした。
