こんにちは。宮崎駿の「折り返し点」でヤン・スヴェラークの「ダーク・ブルー」の感想について宮崎駿と鈴木敏夫がインタビューに答えているのですが、そのなかで宮崎駿が好きな映画はなんですか、と質問されて答えた作品が「グロリア」です。色々他の方の感想も読みました。僕の感想は変な映画だった、ということです。まず一番思ったこと、リュック・ベッソンの「レオン」の性別が反転した話だということです。「レオン」の方が後なので、リュック・ベッソンが影響を受けたのかもしれません。あと音楽が壮大でした。それがB級映画っぽさを感じさせます。アクションシーンと普段のシーンの緩急が鮮やかです。冗長なやりとりからのアクションはサム・ペキンパー的でした。ラストはハッピーエンドに見せかけたアンハッピーエンドです。宮崎駿もいっていましたが、映画の中で色々暗号が隠されています。

また観直しました。黒沢清がジョン・カサヴェテスは偉大だ、と言っていたからです。主演のジーナ・ローランズはジョン・カサヴェテスの妻らしいです。他の方も書いていますが、グロリアが映画内で初めて銃を発砲するシーンの鮮やかさたるや凄いです。何故こんなにこの映画が面白いのか、と考えてみるとやはり女性と男性の力関係が逆転しているからだと思います。とにかくグロリアの頭の良さが観ていて気持ち良いです。この主演の二人が死んでいる、という話をインターネットで探してみたのですが、見つけられませんでした。僕が気になったのは最後の墓地のシーンでグロリアが乗ってくるハイヤー、フィル（ジョン・アダムス）が乗ってきたタクシーにナンバープレートが付いていません。それが二人が既に死んでいることと関係あるかどうか分かりませんが、グロリアがエレベーターで下に降りていくシーンとフィルが電車に乗り込み、闇の中に消えていくショットがあるので、やはりこの二人はあの世に行っているのかもしれません。というか前半の方でグロリアがやたら夢、という言葉を使っているのも気になりました。だからこそラストシーンはフィルが見ている幸せな夢だ、という解釈も腑に落ちます。
I reviewed it again. This is because Kiyoshi Kurosawa said that John Cassavetes was great. The starring Gena Rowlands seems to be the wife of John Cassavetes. As others have written, the vividness of the scene where Gloria fires a gun for the first time in the movie is amazing. When I think about why this movie is so interesting, I think it is because the power relationship between women and men is reversed.Anyway, it feels good to see Gloria's smartness. I searched the internet for the story that the two leading characters are dead, but I couldn't find it. What I was interested in was that the taxi on which Gloria was hire and Phil (John Adams) was on the last graveyard scene did not have a license plate.I don't know if that has anything to do with the fact that they're already dead, but there's still a scene where Gloria goes down in the elevator and Phil gets on the train and disappears into the darkness. These two may have gone to that world. Or rather, I was worried that Gloria used the word "dream" in the first half. That's why the interpretation that the last scene is a happy dream that Phil has is also disappointing.
