Hello. First of all, before this movie, I will briefly write about the movie I watched recently. I watched "Father and Daughter" by Michael Dudok du Witt. The reason I saw it was that I was reading a PDF related to Isao Takahata and mentioned this work, and I thought that it might lead to Kiyoshi Kurosawa's "Journey to the Shore". It was an eight-minute short film that was very concise and artistic.I had a selfish belief that Kishibe = Higan and Konogishi, so I quickly realized that the first scene was not just a farewell between my father and daughter, but a bereavement. As her daughter grows up, she still seems to be waiting for her father to return. And over time, her daughter becomes an old woman. That shore is now dry and grassland. In the middle of the shore is my father's boat.My daughter notices something and starts running. As she runs, her daughter rejuvenates and hugs her father. The background was like a watercolor painting. Impressively, the shadow is set long. I thought of Isao Takahata's "My Neighbors Yamada". After all, Isao Takahata seems to have been making works by grasping the art movement of the world properly. Next, I watched Steven Spielberg's "Bridge of Spies".I've been watching Tom Hanks for some reason lately. I'm a family member who knows the true work of the main character (Donovan) on the last TV, and the current person's image of what he went to in the past and future, such as expressions that can be understood by letters after Donovan in the train window. What's more, I noticed that it was really cool to talk while projecting a vague image. Finally, I watched Werner Herzog's "Feast of the Dwarfs".I watched this because it was taken up in a dialogue with Juro Kara in the book "The Scary Story of a Movie" by Kiyoshi Kurosawa. As for the impression, I think that it is unavoidable to follow the story in such a movie, so it is only an impression about the image, but this movie is only for people with dwarfism from beginning to end. People with dwarfism look like just children when viewed from a distance. I'm not sure, but there are people like teachers at the facility and two blind watchmen.I'm not sure, but there are people like teachers at the facility and two blind watchmen. I didn't think it was such a brutal movie, but when I read the impressions, everyone seemed to feel quite brutal. When I watch a movie like this, I think I'm still complaining about the vulnerable. How did you shoot the car moving freely? I also felt that I intentionally lost the speed of the story. It's just a feast, and the story unfolds at the same pace endlessly. Certainly it was a little tough to watch. Well finally the main subject. I saw "The Triplets of Belleville" once before. Since I borrowed it at TSUTAYA, it came with a video privilege, and the dialogue between Isao Takahata and Sylvain Chomet was very interesting. This work uses a technique called caricature. If you look it up, it will come out soon, but in a nutshell, it's like a caricature, which is an extreme deformation of the characteristics of an object. Isao Takahata and Sylvain Chomet talked about the character image of the main character, Champion, but in France, people like Champion who do their best but are not rewarded are preferred.Isao Takahata used to say that in Japan, but now the public is not convinced unless he succeeds, and Isao Takahata's anti-fantasy ideas and objectivism are from France. I knew it was what I got. My impression was that the fact that a lot of people moved to make such a strange image would give courage to those who are going to make a new image.Of course I am one of them. The main character, Champion, is a special training for bicycles, and it is an unpleasant model in which only the thigh muscles of the legs are abnormally developed. But many animators drew pictures to move this character. It has become longer. It was

I watched the bonus video properly. I watched it with great interest because I am reading Bande dessinée. Sylvain Chomet's culture of loving the French losers seems to have a historical background, such as the familiar culture of art, which is not understood by others, and the invasion of the Nazis in the war. The impact of the sepia-colored TV image at the beginning is amazing. Caricature is still used, and I'm impressed to see it. child This beginning is linked to the ending. Plarails, dogs, champions, etc. that keep spinning in the same circle are also suggestive. It is also interesting that the square shoulders of the mafia and the solid black color make it impossible to see the boundaries of the body. It is also a feature that the rice does not look delicious at all. It was

This is the third time I've seen this work. I think the essence of the story has finally come to light. The city of Bellville seems to have an American motif, as evidenced by the caricatured Statue of Liberty. Everyone who walks in the city is fat. The criticism of American Hollywood movies and formatted creative activities in the interviews also gives Sylvain Chomet a critical impression of the United States. It also makes sense that the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to the United States. It is probably a character with a completely Walt Disney motif that makes the projector in which Champion was rowed. This may be over-read, but the image on the projector is a live-action image.Working hard to show live-action footage in the animated world, in other words, feels like a metaphor for animators making animations in the real world. And the Japanese translation of the last theme song is wonderful. It's like watching this to hear it. It's a French-style gypsy jazz genre, and it's fashionable and cool.

I will write it, although it may overlap with what I wrote before. What I saw and felt this time was a strong antithesis against existing animation. That is remarkable in our Japanese animation, but the characters that appear are all young, beautiful boys and beautiful girls with good style. The building is beautiful and the food is beautiful and appetizing. I think the counter to that is this work.If you follow the opposite of what I just mentioned, it will be this work. Also, the motif of the circle appears in the early stages, but the structure of this work itself has a circular
structure that starts with the TV image and ends with the TV image, which seems to have some meaning. There is a scene where the strength of the will surpasses the reason in the last escape play, but I like that kind of humor. The caricature of the man's design in a square suit and the exaggerated way of flirting with the restaurant owner is interesting.
